Description
Is there anything more satisfied than a cat on a rug in a patch of sunlight? Minou certainly did not think so. Every afternoon at three, she followed the bright square across the parlor floor, rearranging herself as it moved, her yellow collar glinting each time she stretched. If anyone dared to walk through her sunbeam, she would open one eye, judge them silently, and close it again with an air of great forbearance. Her owner, Madame Fabre, eventually moved the armchair so the light would last a little longer.
This small box celebrates that lazy, sun-warmed contentment. Its soft yellow collar and plush painted rug evoke the cozy corners every cat claims as its own territory, and the whole piece has a gentle, homey charm. It is a sweet gift for a cat owner, a volunteer at a rescue shelter, or a friend who has just adopted a kitten and already lost an argument about who owns the bed. Thanks to its small size, it sits happily on a windowsill, a bedside table, or a bookshelf beside a framed photograph of the real household ruler.
