Description
Fresh milk arrives at the farmhouse door at six o’clock sharp, and Minette is always there first. She has no interest in the farmer, the dog or the rooster crowing on the woodpile. Her attention is fixed entirely on the tall jug in the farmer’s wife’s hand, and on the saucer that will surely follow if she sits very still and looks sufficiently angelic. It works, of course. It always works.
This box shows Minette at precisely that hopeful moment, posed beside a milk jug, her painted fur and expression rendered in soft hues with real artistry. The clever twist is inside: the milk jug hides a secret space, perfect for a ring, stud earrings or a tiny note. Compact enough for a coffee table, a desk or a kitchen shelf beside the teacups, it brings warmth and gentle humor to any room. Cat lovers will recognize the look on her face immediately, because every cat who has ever lived has mastered it. Some things, it seems, are universal, and a cat’s devotion to fresh cream is chief among them.
