Description
“Your Majesty,” said the dragonfly, dipping low over the reeds, “the pond awaits your decree.” The frog adjusted his crown, which was slightly too large and entirely gold, and considered the matter from his lily pad. He decreed that the evening chorus would begin at once, that the heron was banished until Thursday, and that every tadpole would receive a story before bed. Then he settled back in the sunshine, satisfied with a good day of ruling, and waited for someone to bring him a fly on a silver dish.
