Description
Lily pads, dragonflies and not a single fish in sight. Monsieur Crapaud did not mind in the least. He had his rod, his little red bobber and a picnic of something unmentionable wrapped in a dock leaf, and the morning stretched ahead of him, warm and green and wonderfully quiet. Now and then a heron flew over and he pretended not to see it. When a butterfly settled on his hat, he took it as a sign of excellent luck.
Rochard has dressed this charming frog for fishing, complete with rod and bobber, and painted a butterfly inside as a hidden surprise. It is a delightful gift for a fisherman, a frog collector, a nature lover, or a father who would rather be at the lake on any given Sunday. On a bookshelf or a desk, it is a reminder to slow down and enjoy the quiet moments.
