Description
Snow falls on the Christmas market in Strasbourg as the stalls light up one by one. Mulled wine steams in paper cups, gingerbread hearts hang from every rafter, and the cathedral glows pink against the darkening sky. A little girl, holding her father’s hand, stops in front of a stand of glittering ornaments and points at the brightest red one of all. Her father smiles and tells her that every family needs one special ornament. They carry it home wrapped in tissue, and she holds it on her lap the whole way.
This red ornament box is exactly that kind of treasure. Its rich red surface is set off by golden accents and covered in detailed festive patterns that reward a slow look. Consider it for a holiday host, a collector of Christmas pieces, or a family marking their first Christmas together. Display it on a mantel among candles, beneath the tree, or on a table centerpiece, and bring it out each December like an old friend. Because it is porcelain, not glass, it feels reassuringly substantial in the hand. Generations can share it.
