Description
Midnight in the old farmhouse kitchen, and only the clock was awake. Or so the mouse believed. He crept along the edge of the dresser, whiskers trembling, towards the last crumb of Sunday’s brioche. Below, in the blue basket by the stove, a white cat named Neige lay perfectly still, one ear swivelling ever so slightly. She had no intention of chasing him tonight. After all, a house with a mouse in it was a house where something might happen.
This piece captures that delicious standoff: a white cat at rest in a blue basket while a small mouse ventures nearby. It opens to a little space for rings, earrings or a favourite pendant. It is a delightful gift for cat lovers and collectors, for a friend whose own cat has a famously lazy streak, or for anyone who appreciates a little humour on the dressing table.
