Description
Easter Sunday in a farmhouse in Normandy, and the children are racing across the orchard with baskets. Grand-père has hidden the eggs in all the usual places, plus a few devilishly clever new ones. Little Inès finds the last one tucked in the crook of the old apple tree. It is the most beautiful of all, painted with flowers, and she refuses to let anyone else hold it.
This white egg brings back mornings like that one. An intricate pattern of multicoloured flowers covers its smooth, rounded form, bright against the clean white porcelain. It makes a charming Easter gift, a christening present, or a lovely way to welcome spring. Keep a pair of earrings or a delicate ring inside, and display it on a dressing table, a sunny windowsill, or among other painted eggs.
