Description
“Where is Gribouille?” Nobody had seen the terrier since breakfast. They searched the garden, the cellar and under every bed before Papa noticed a tuft of ears poking from the laundry basket, rising and falling in rhythm. Gribouille opened one eye, sighed at the fuss, and went straight back to sleep on the clean towels. Maman threatened to wash him along with the sheets, but she fetched her camera first, and the photograph still hangs in the hallway.
That blissful nap is the heart of this little box, which shows a dog resting in a carefully painted basket. Inside, playful motifs carry the charm further. Give it to a new puppy family, a dog walker who deserves a thank-you, or a friend saying goodbye to a faithful companion, where it can gently hold a tag or a tuft of fur. On a bedside table it feels like a small, loyal friend keeping watch.
