Description
Midnight in a small Alsatian town, and the only footprints in the square belong to one broad-shouldered traveller. He pauses beneath the bakery sign, shifts the weight of his sack and laughs softly to himself, because somewhere inside it a wooden horse has started to rattle against a tin drum. The church clock chimes twelve. He counts the chimneys left on his list, tugs his beard and keeps walking, boots crunching through the fresh powder.
That moment of cheerful effort is what this box captures: Santa mid-stride, the toy sack slung high, clearly delighted by the work ahead of him. It would make a lovely gift for the person in your family who always plays Santa on Christmas Eve, the one who assembles bicycles at two in the morning and still smiles at breakfast. Set it on a mantel among the greenery, or keep it on a bedside table where it can stand guard all December.
