Description
Two spaniels lived in the house on the Place des Vosges, and they ran it entirely. Pompom and Bijou slept on the best cushions, ate from porcelain dishes, and accompanied their owner to the café every morning, where the waiter brought them a saucer of cream before he brought her coffee. Tourists photographed them constantly. They accepted the attention as their due, and they always posed together, side by side. Neither dog ever went anywhere without the other.
This box celebrates spaniels exactly like that, gentle, affectionate and just a little spoiled. A pair of King Charles Spaniels is painted with care, with soft ears and sweet expressions, and the box opens to hold trinkets or jewelry. It makes a delightful gift for anyone who shares a home with a spaniel, a breeder, a dog show enthusiast, or a friend who has just welcomed a new puppy. On a dressing table or a sitting room shelf, they look perfectly content, just as they would on a velvet cushion. Side by side, they make a picture of companionship that warms any room.
