Description
Deep in the forest of Fontainebleau, where the oaks grow thick and the moss is soft as velvet, a family of owls holds council each night on an old tree stump. They discuss the moon, the mice and the curious habits of the humans who walk the trails by day. The youngest asks too many questions. The eldest answers with a single, knowing hoot. Then they ruffle their feathers, blink their great round eyes, and settle in to watch the stars.
This woodland scene is a natural gift for a teacher, a graduate or anyone who prizes wisdom and good counsel. Owl collectors will welcome it gladly, and so will hikers, campers and lovers of forest walks. Set it on a library shelf, a study desk or a mantel decorated with pinecones in autumn, where its earthy charm feels right at home.
