Picking pumpkins is hard work, and Pistache, the farm cat, has never believed in hard work. So when the family wheeled the barrow out to the patch, she simply hopped on and waited. They filled it around her with pumpkins large and small, and she sat there regally all the way back to the barn, tail curled, whiskers twitching in the autumn breeze, as though the entire harvest had been arranged in her honour.
