Description
Who carves this year? It is the question that starts every Thanksgiving argument at the Morrison house, long before the potatoes are mashed. The kitchen is crowded, the windows are fogged, and somewhere a timer has been beeping for five minutes while three generations debate stuffing recipes. Out on the porch, the youngest children have built a scarecrow from a broom and their grandfather’s old hat. Eventually everyone squeezes around one long table, hands joined, and for a moment even the arguing stops.
This box brings that warm, chaotic, grateful spirit to the table. A turkey stands proudly beside a cornstalk, his feathers painted in rich blue and red hues for an unexpected, eye-catching twist on autumn tradition. It holds small treasures, from a wishbone to a pair of harvest-colored earrings. At three inches tall, it makes a charming centerpiece among gourds and candles, or a thoughtful hostess gift to bring along with a pie. The cornstalk adds a warm golden accent, and the bird’s bright plumage gives the piece a cheerful, folk-art charm.
