Description
Who really owns the pumpkin patch? The farmer would say he does. The children who arrive each October with wagons would argue the point. But the black cat who appears every Halloween at dusk knows the truth, and she settles between her two favorite pumpkins with the calm of a queen on her throne, daring anyone to disagree.
This box is a wonderful gift for cat lovers who adore the season, especially those with a midnight-colored companion of their own. It sits beautifully among candles and mini gourds on a windowsill, or on a desk where it can supervise the workday. Children love finding it each year when the autumn decorations come out of storage, and grown-ups love that it is charming rather than frightening. She might even forgive you for leaving the porch light off. A curl of the tail, a flick of an ear, and she is back to her watch, unblinking, until the last trick-or-treater has gone home to bed.
