Description
By mid-afternoon the garden belongs to Neige. Her family has retreated to the shade with lemonade, but the little Bichon has found the warmest patch of lawn between the roses and the lavender, and there she lies, chin on her paws, ball tucked under one leg. A bee hums past. She opens one eye, decides it is not worth the effort, and goes back to dozing. When the shadows finally reach her, she simply gets up and moves two feet to the left.
This sunny box captures that lazy contentment. The Bichon’s fluffy white coat is painted softly, and she lies on a bed of green grass dotted with brightly colored flowers, her ball close at hand. The palette is fresh and lively, like a June border in full bloom. It makes a charming gift for a Bichon owner, a gardener who shares the flower beds with a dog, or a friend who has just adopted a puppy. Set it on a windowsill overlooking the garden and it feels perfectly at home.
