Description

Snow squeaks underfoot in the town square, and the smell of woodsmoke drifts from a dozen chimneys. Two friends from Grenoble, cheeks pink from a day on the slopes, stop beneath the great arch of antlers at the corner of the park and crane their necks to take it in. Thousands of them, tangled and pale against the dusk, gathered from the valley floor where the elk let them fall each spring. One of them laughs and says it looks like a forest that decided to stand on its head.

This box brings that unmistakable gateway home. The Antler Arch of Jackson Hole is painted around its sides in warm, rustic tones, the kind that look right beside a stack of quilts or a cast-iron lamp. It is a natural present for anyone returning from the Tetons, a couple who honeymooned in Wyoming, or a cabin owner who wants one refined touch among the flannel and pine. Set it on a log mantel and it seems to belong there.
