Description
Never was the waiting room at the clinic on the Rue des Lilas quiet. A spaniel whined at the door, a cat glared from her carrier, and a very young rabbit sat in a shoebox on a little girl’s lap. Behind the counter, Docteur Morel kept a hand-lettered sign propped on her desk for the rare moments she had to step out, and every regular client knew exactly what it said. Even the parrot, the receptionist claimed, had learned to recite it.
This box has the same good humour. It opens like a book filled with veterinary notes, a bone rests across the top, and inside a little message instructs the animals to sit and stay because the vet will be back in five minutes. It makes an ideal thank-you for the doctor who saw your old dog through a hard winter, a graduation gift for a new veterinarian, or a smile for any clinic reception desk. It is witty without being silly, the kind of desk ornament that patients and staff both notice.
