Description
“Why is a raven like a writing desk?” asks Papa, every single time, and every single time Margot rolls her eyes and begs him to keep reading. They are on their fourth journey down the rabbit hole this winter, curled together in the big armchair under a plaid blanket, a pot of chamomile cooling on the side table. She has started setting out extra cups for the Hatter and the Dormouse, just in case they decide to drop by.
This little book box holds that same enchanted spirit. Its cover is painted as an Alice in Wonderland volume, and once the cover opens, a tiny tea cup waits inside, as though the March Hare had just stepped away. Under two inches tall, it is perfect on a nursery bookshelf, a teacher’s desk or a reading nook beside a stack of well-loved classics. Give it to a young reader discovering Lewis Carroll for the first time, a literature professor, a librarian or a grown-up who still believes six impossible things before breakfast.
