Description
Kyoto, early morning: in a quiet garden, an old man trims his bonsai with tiny scissors, one needle at a time. Moss covers the stones at his feet, a bamboo spout clacks gently into a pool, and a cat sleeps on the veranda in a patch of sun. He has tended this tree for forty years, and he says it has taught him more about patience than any person ever has. His grandchildren roll their eyes, but they always come to sit beside him.
This box captures a detailed Japanese bonsai tree, every branch and leaf rendered with care. It opens to a small compartment for trinkets or keepsakes. Give it to a bonsai enthusiast, a gardener, a yoga teacher or someone who keeps a calm corner for meditation. On a desk, it offers a moment of stillness in a busy day, a reminder to breathe before answering the next email. It also suits a bookshelf beside a stack of travel journals from Japan.
