Description
Gaston was not a fast dog. He could not catch a ball, he refused to fetch sticks, and he considered stairs a personal insult. But every evening, when the family came home, he would heave himself out of his basket, ears flapping, and greet each of them as though they had been gone for a year. Then he would sigh deeply, climb back into his basket and wait for someone to adjust his blanket.
This Basset Hound, nestled in his basket with a playful bow, captures that droopy-eared devotion. Delicate brushwork shapes his gentle face and the basket that holds him. He makes a heartfelt gift for a hound lover, a new puppy owner, a veterinarian, or a family remembering a beloved dog who has passed. Set him on a bedside table, keep his collar tag inside, and let him keep watch as faithfully as ever.
