Description
Snap. A twig broke in the beech wood, and every bird went quiet. Jules held his breath behind the fallen oak. Through the morning mist came a great bristly shape, snuffling at the leaf litter with his long snout, tusks curving pale in the half-light. The wild boar paused, sniffed the air, then went back to rooting among the roots for acorns. Jules did not move until the animal had disappeared into the ferns, and then he ran all the way home to tell his father.
This Rochard box captures that moment of woodland wonder, depicting a wild boar in realistic, lifelike colours. It is a fine gift for animal lovers, hunters, foresters, farmhouse decorators or anyone with a fondness for the countryside. Set it on a rustic shelf beside a stoneware jug, a wooden bowl and a stack of country cookbooks, where it looks completely at home.
