Description
Captain Lucie, aged seven, has buried treasure in the back garden again. She has drawn a map on a paper bag, marked the spot beneath the apple tree with an X, and recruited her little brother as first mate. Her grandmother’s old parrot, who has very strong opinions, squawks orders from the open window. When at last the shovel strikes something hard, there are cheers, a brief mutiny over who gets to open it, and great rejoicing over three chocolate coins and a plastic ring.
This box captures that adventurous spirit with real charm. A parrot perches proudly on top of a treasure chest, painted in vibrant, detailed colour. It is a playful gift for a child who loves pirate stories, a sailor, a scuba diver, a beach-house owner, or anyone with a bit of the buccaneer in their soul. And of course, it is a treasure chest, so it practically begs to be filled with something precious.
