Description
Cookies cool on the rack, the kitchen smells of butter and vanilla, and a small hand reaches up to the counter. Little Léa has been told to wait, but her teddy bear, she explains very seriously, is starving. Her mother sighs, breaks a warm cookie in half and hands it over. The bear gets the first bite, naturally, and Léa eats the rest, crumbs everywhere, giggling as she licks chocolate off her fingers. Later, both of them nap on the sofa, bear clutched tight, crumbs forgiven.
This teddy bear, holding his cookie with obvious delight, captures that sweet moment of childhood. He is a darling gift for a baby shower, a first birthday, a christening or a grandmother who always has a cookie jar full. Display him on a nursery shelf, a kitchen windowsill or beside a child’s bedside lamp. Inside, he keeps small keepsakes such as a first tooth, a hospital bracelet or a tiny note from a parent. The cheerful expression and soft colors make it equally at home in a nursery or on a grandparent’s mantel among family photographs.
