Description
Bumpety-bump goes the red wagon over the cobbles of the village square, with Nounours the teddy bear riding in the back like a small and very serious king. Lucas, aged four, pulls the handle with both hands, steering carefully around the fountain and the pigeons and the old men playing pétanque. Every few steps he turns around to check that his passenger is still comfortable, and every few steps the bear seems to nod back in approval of the journey so far.
This teddy bear in a red wagon captures that devoted, wide-eyed friendship between a child and a favorite toy. It is a sweet present for a baby shower, a first birthday, a christening or a new big brother or sister, and it charms grandparents who remember pulling wagons of their own. Place it on a nursery shelf among picture books, on a dresser beside a baby photo, or in a child’s room where it can watch over bedtime stories and sleepy goodnights.
