Description
July in the Luberon, and the lavender fields roll away in long purple stripes toward the hills. Bees drone through the rows, the air smells of honey and herbs, and a family on a road trip has pulled over to let the children run between the furrows while their mother takes photograph after photograph. Later, back in the car, everyone smells faintly of lavender and nobody wants to leave.
This tall round box brings that summer field indoors. Light purple stripes rise up its height, and delicate flowers bloom across them, soft and fragrant-looking. It holds jewelry or mementos, perhaps a sachet-scented ring, a pressed bloom or a postcard folded small. Set it on a bedside table, a bathroom shelf or a mantel among dried flowers. It makes a lovely gift for someone who adores purple, a traveler returning from the south of France, or a friend who could use a calming touch.
Worth noticing

- Made in Limoges, France, and brushed by hand in soft lavender tones
- A calming, gentle color suited to bedrooms and bathrooms
- Upright, columnar proportions that let the stripes rise gracefully
A breath of Provence in soft purple. It pairs beautifully with a bundle of dried lavender tied in ribbon, and it brings a sense of calm to a busy bedside table.
