Description
It is almost one in the morning at a cellar club in Saint-Germain. The trio has slipped outside for air, and on the empty stage a saxophone leans against a wooden chair, still warm from the last solo. A waiter wipes down tables. Somebody at the bar hums the melody under their breath, unwilling to let the evening end just yet.
This box captures that hush between sets in bright, cheerful colours. It is a natural gift for the jazz fan who knows every Coltrane record, the music teacher who has heard a thousand squeaky first notes, or the teenager who just made the school band. Tuck a spare reed or a guitar pick inside, and set it on the piano, the record shelf, or a desk where the music never stops.

Give it after a first concert, a graduation recital or simply a really good jam session. It never practises scales at midnight, either. Add a concert ticket and the evening is planned. Musicians of every age seem to recognise that empty chair instantly, and most of them grin.
