Description
“Off the presents,” the family had told Minette a dozen times that week. Minette, a cat of strong opinions, had listened politely and ignored them entirely. So when Santa arrived on Christmas Eve and set his little tree atop the shiniest gold box beneath the branches, he found her already sitting there, tail curled around her paws, looking up at him with an expression that said she had been expecting him.
Santa could have shooed her away. Instead he chuckled, scratched her behind the ears and declared her his official helper for the night. She purred until dawn, guarding the golden parcel as if it were her own. This box captures that cheeky partnership, with Santa and his tree on a gold gift box and the cat included in the scene. It is a natural pick for cat owners, a friend whose pet always sits on the wrapping paper, or a collector who loves a touch of humor at Christmas.
