Description
Montmartre at seven in the morning, before the tourists climb the steps. The white domes of Sacré-Cœur glow pink in the early light, the café owners are hosing down the cobblestones and on the Place du Tertre the first easels are going up. An art student in a paint-stained jacket squeezes cobalt blue onto her palette, squints at the basilica and begins, again, to try to capture something that has been painted ten thousand times before.
This little paint box is a love letter to that pursuit. It is a delightful gift for a painter, an art teacher, a student heading to art school or a friend who has just returned from a week in Paris with a sketchbook full of rooftops. Set it on a studio shelf beside jars of brushes, on a desk among art books or behind glass among other Parisian treasures. Every artist will recognize the joy of a fresh tube of paint.
