Description
Dear Père Noël, the letter began, in pencil pressed so hard it nearly tore the paper. Lucie was seven and had rewritten it four times. A sled, a book about horses, and could he please bring Papa home early from work this year? She sealed it, kissed it twice for luck, and tucked it into the chimney with a carrot for the reindeer. Then she lay awake listening for bells until sleep won.
This Christmas box holds that same hopeful feeling. Bring it out each December for the mantel among the stockings, or tuck a child’s first wish list inside to read again in twenty years. It makes a tender gift for new parents celebrating a baby’s first Christmas, a stocking surprise for a teenager who pretends to be too old for Santa, or a grandmother who still remembers every letter her children ever wrote.
