Description
Straw from the barn, a single candle and the whole family crowded around the kitchen table: that was how Christmas Eve began at the farm. The grandmother told the story of the stable once more, slowly, the way she always had, her voice dropping at the best parts. Each child placed a figure in turn, and the youngest, holding her breath, set the last one in its place. Then nobody spoke for a long, warm moment, and even the dog lay still.
This large hinged box is shaped like a manger, a reverent and generous centrepiece for the season. Its size gives it real presence on a mantel, a sideboard or a table near the tree, and it makes a natural focal point for a family crèche display. It is a meaningful gift for a godchild, a church friend or a family whose Christmas traditions are rooted in faith. Children often ask to hear the story again whenever it comes out of its wrapping. Surrounded by candles and a little evergreen, it draws the eye at once and invites a moment of stillness amid the bustle of the holiday.
