Description
Snowmen, Louise decided at the age of six, were lonely creatures. They stood outside all night in the cold while everyone else slept in warm beds. So when she built her snowman in December, she gave him a crown of holly from the hedge and pressed a heart into his chest, cut from a piece of red felt from her mother’s sewing basket. “So he knows somebody loves him,” she explained. Her mother kept the felt heart in a drawer for years after the snowman had melted.
This box carries that tender gesture. A snowman wears holly and carries a heart, a gentle declaration of love for the holiday season. It is a beautiful gift for a sweetheart, a daughter, a best friend or a grandparent, and it bridges Christmas and Valentine’s Day with ease. Place it on a nightstand, on a dressing table among jewelry, or in a sunny window where it can remind someone, every morning, that they are cherished. Few winter gifts say quite so much in so small a space.
