Somewhere along the old Route Nationale 7, there was a roadside café where truckers, tourists and one very hungry poet all agreed on a single thing: the burger was perfect. Sesame seeds on the bun, cheese melting over the edge, crisp lettuce and a ruby round of tomato. The poet wrote an ode to it on a paper napkin and left it tucked under the plate as a tip. The café is long gone now, but people who stopped there still describe that burger with a faraway look in their eyes.
