Description
Fishermen in Brittany used to tell stories about her. On foggy evenings, they said, you could hear her singing from the rocks off the Pointe du Raz, and anyone who followed the song would find themselves in a kingdom beneath the waves. Little Maëlle, listening to her grandfather spin the tale by the fire, decided at once that she would much rather meet the mermaid than be afraid of her, and she has been searching the tide pools ever since.
This mermaid captures that storybook enchantment. She would delight a girl who loves fairy tales, a swimmer, a diver, a beach house owner or a collector of nautical treasures. It also suits a bathroom decorated with shells and sea glass, a child’s bedroom with an ocean theme, or a dressing table where it can guard a pair of pearl earrings. Anyone who has ever stood at the water’s edge and wondered what lies beneath will feel her pull.
