Description
Who could blame him? The hive hums, the air smells of clover, and the honey is right there under his paws. This bear has clearly decided that a few stings are a fair trade for paradise, and he has settled in with the satisfied look of someone who will not be leaving before supper. The bees, for their part, seem to be holding a very loud meeting about it.
Painted in rich, earthy browns with delicate bees and touches of gold, the scene feels like a page from a woodland storybook. It is a lovely present for a backyard beekeeper with jars lined up on the windowsill, for a friend who takes her tea with three spoonfuls, or for a child who loves bears above all other animals. Set it in the kitchen near the honey pot, or on a bookshelf beside a well-thumbed copy of a favorite bear tale.
