Description
On the island of Ré, every shutter seems to be painted blue, and every café has a striped awning snapping in the sea breeze. Margaux had come for a week and stayed for a month, falling for the light, the bicycles, and eventually the boy who sold oysters by the harbor. When she finally left, he gave her a tiny heart wrapped in blue paper, and she has never told anyone what was inside.
This striped heart has that same breezy, coastal charm, its blue bands softened by sprays of hand-painted flowers. It suits a beach house dresser, a bathroom shelf beside a seashell, or a nightstand in a guest room decorated in blue and white. Give it for an anniversary, a Mother’s Day, a bridesmaid’s thank-you or simply because. It also pairs beautifully with other heart boxes, adding a bright, nautical note to a romantic collection. The size is just right for a pair of earrings or a pendant.
