Description
Make a wish, they said, and Lily closed her eyes so tightly that her whole face scrunched up. She was turning six, and she had been planning this moment for weeks: the cake with pink icing, the single tall candle, the wish she would never tell anyone, not even her best friend. When she opened her eyes and blew, the flame went out on the first try, and the whole kitchen erupted in cheers as if she had won a race.
This box catches that breathless instant just before the wish. The cake is decorated in festive detail, and one pink candle stands on top, ready to be lit. It is a delightful present for a little girl’s birthday, a milestone celebration for a grandmother turning ninety, or a keepsake for a friend who always throws the best parties. On a bedroom shelf beside a birthday card or a framed party photograph, it keeps the celebration going all year, and its sweet pink accents brighten every room. Its pastel icing is as pretty as a bakery window.
