Description
Once upon a time, every bedtime in the Fournier household ended the same way: three children in a row under the covers, Papa on the edge of the bed with a worn picture book, and a chorus of voices begging, “Read the part about the green suit again.” Decades later the book is held together with tape, the children have children of their own, and the same pages are still being read aloud, the same voices still doing the elephant’s grand royal speeches.
This box brings that beloved character off the page and onto the shelf. Babar, dapper in green with his crown, makes a wonderful baby shower gift, a christening present, or a first-birthday keepsake that will grow up alongside the child. Grown-ups who fell in love with the stories long ago will treasure him too. Set him in a nursery beside the bookshelf, on a child’s dresser, or in a cabinet of childhood keepsakes, where he can guard a first tooth or a tiny curl.
