Description
The lemon tree on the terrace in Sorrento is older than the house, or so the family claims. Every July it hangs heavy with fruit the size of a fist, and every July the ladybugs arrive, marching along the branches like tiny red soldiers on patrol. Nonna says they are lucky. When one lands on your hand, she insists, you must make a wish before it flies away, and you must never tell anyone what you wished for. Her grandchildren have been keeping their wishes secret for decades.
This large box captures that sunny terrace and its lucky visitor. The golden lemon is plump and full, its peel painted with care, and the ladybug sits right on top, red and spotted, as though it has just landed. It is a delightful gift for someone who needs a little luck, a gardener, a cook, or a child with a collection of bug books. Set it on a kitchen windowsill to catch morning sun, or on a desk where it can brighten a grey working day. Many owners find themselves making a small wish every time they glance at it.

- A plump, golden lemon in generous large size
