Description
Before dawn, the forest is silent except for the drip of dew from the branches. A hunter waits in his blind, breath clouding, rifle resting across his knees, watching the clearing as the sky turns from black to gray. Then, without a sound, she appears: a deer stepping out from the trees, ears swiveling, every muscle ready. For a long moment they both stand still, and the hunter, to his own surprise, simply watches as she bounds away into the ferns. He tells no one, but he thinks about her all winter.
This box captures the deer in that moment of grace, mid-stride against a forest backdrop. It is a fitting gift for a hunter, a hiker, a wildlife photographer or anyone who loves the woods in every season. Display it in a cabin, on a mantel beside antlers or field guides, or on a desk where it can bring a breath of the outdoors to a busy day. Inside, keep a ring, a pocket compass charm or a small keepsake. The naturalistic palette feels at home among wood, leather and wool.
