Description
Word travels fast at the North Pole. When Santa heard there was a new book about him, called simply Merry Christmas, he put down his reindeer brush and declared that he must see it for himself. He arrived at the bookshop just before closing, climbed right up onto the display copy, and began turning the pages with a chuckle that rattled the windows.
He laughed at his own portrait, approved of the reindeer, and suggested only one small correction about the cookies. The author, who happened to be signing copies that evening, nearly fainted with joy. This box shows that happy visit: Santa seated proudly on top of his very own book. It is a cheerful choice for a writer, a bookseller, a teacher or a child who is quite sure Santa reads every story written about him.
