In general, no. Because coding bootcamps are not accredited, they are not eligible for traditional student loans, Pell Grants, or the FAFSA. Instead, bootcamp students use private loans through lenders such as Skills Fund, Climb Credit and Sallie Mae. There are a few exceptions. Dominican University + Make School students are eligible for financial aid; students must complete the FAFSA and receive a financial aid package within 2-7 days. Bachelor of Science Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) offered by Alliant International University in partnership with Sabio is available to eligible applicants.

Programs Of Study

These are partnerships where the coding bootcamp either offers classes on campus taught by the bootcamp’s own faculty, or students can study at the coding bootcamp campus but receive college credit. Some of these partnerships also allow students to use the GI Bill to pay for coding bootcamp tuition.

Historically, Alliant International University has partnered with Sabio to provide credit for its Bachelor of Science degree. Yale University’s Yale Summer Session has previously partnered with the Flatiron School to offer college credit.

Now, a number of universities have run their own in-house coding bootcamps and are not affiliated with an external education provider.

While having a program leader like edX or Promineo Tech is more typical of a technical skills boot camp in college, some universities are now running their own boot camps;

Prek 12 And Secondary Transition To Teaching

Interested in EQUIP? Essentially, the university partners with a coding bootcamp and a quality assurance organization (QAE), and as a result, students can effectively receive financial aid and/or college credit for completing the coding bootcamp. DOE called these collaborations “test sites” and announced a $17 million grant in August 2016 (see Trend #4 for more information). We haven’t heard an update on EQUIP since August 2016, but we’ll update this article if that changes. Some say financial aid is a great idea for coding bootcamps. Others, like Jordan Weissman at Slate , say expanding the financial aid system would “destroy coding trunks.”

These examples show that collaboration between bootcamps and universities takes many nuanced forms. There is no one formula that schools can use to create partnerships. The partnership must meet the needs of the students and benefit both the campus and the university. Some coding bootcamps are also acquired by universities. check out our coding bootcamp achievements article.

The drop in industrial engineering admissions during the COVID-19 pandemic and the growing demand for professional industrial engineers should be explored. The purpose of this study was to determine the preference of industrial engineering students at different educational levels toward online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, this study used conjoint analysis with a rectangular design considering seven attributes: delivery type, layout, term style, end requirements, Coursera requirements, seat and practice sets, and platforms. From the characteristics, 20 stimuli were created using SPSS, to which 126 people voluntarily answered.
